Hope Ridge eUpdate 1/9/15

Reflections from Pastor Beth:

I usually do an update or information, but this week, I hope you will join me in a short reflection around our current sermon series.  Have a restful week!
As we begin 2015, how are you thinking about Sabbath- making time and space to play in God’s presence?  I know that many of you love the hymn, “In the Garden” – it is one that I love as well.  I love the imagery that is used and how it brings us into both the story of creation and when Jesus prayed in the garden.  This image becomes reality for many of you as you find joy and connection with God through our natural world.  So  I ask, even in the frigid temperatures- do you find Sabbath in watching snowflakes fall, watching children play making snowmen or sledding?  What small way will you find Sabbath “In the Garden” this week to spend with God our Creator?  Come with me, to find our Creator in even a small moment of joyful reflection and gratitude, let us play in God’s creative love.
Blessings and peace,
Pastor Beth
